Royal fans have been treated to a few surprises from the
Sussexes recently. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan released a lovely Christmas card featuring Archie the same week news came out that they were enjoying private time in Canada. The family of three released another photo of Archie and his dad to round out 2019. And fans still cannot get enough with many looking into the last picture for clues and ways to copy Archie’s adorable outfit! Another interesting tidbit about the photo is that it is reportedly taken by Meghan!

The outdoor shot shows little Archie in Harry’s arms with the father beaming at his bundled up son. Meghan is inconspicuously absent compared to the Christmas photo, and that is because she is behind the lens, according to
People.

A royal source told the publication the viral photo was taken over American Thanksgiving.

In December, we reported
Prince Harry and Meghan were able to spend the holiday in the United States with close family. Royal correspondent
Omid Scobie and ITV News royal
producer
Lizzie Robinson both stated the Sussexes were in the United States in the beginning of December. It was thought that the young family was spending time with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland as part of their extended break.

On Dec. 20, it was confirmed by a Sussex spokesperson and reported by Omid
that the couple were in Canada. Reports quickly followed that the Sussexes were spotted in British Columbia.

Another interesting thing about the heartwarming photo of Archie has to do with the seven-month-old’s hat! Archie’s double pom-pom grey beanie is from
Make Give Live, a sustainable social enterprise founded by New Zealand-based mom and fashion designer Claire Conza.

Products are produced through community-based knitting groups in New Zealand that foster connections and interactions. Furthermore, for every piece purchased, another is given to a New Zealander in need.

Duchess Meghan isn’t the only shutterbug in the Royal Family! Her photo of Archie and Harry has a lot in common with those by keen amateur photographer
Duchess Kate, who has captured many sweet moments featuring Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. This year, milestones the Duchess of Cambridge caught on camera included Prince Louis’s first birthday portraits and the Cambridge clan’s Christmas portrait in Norfolk.

In June 2019, Kate stepped out at the Royal Photographic Society workshop run by Action for Children, one of her patronages.
